--- In a Nutshell... ---
My research focuses on organic semiconductors and conducting polymers for future-emerging sensing applications to rival the abilities of our own senses: With two aims, studying their intrinsic sensitivity for chemistry and molecules to enable such a concept as an integrated electronic nose, and unraveling their potential for evolutionary electronics as a bioinspiration for tomorrow's microelectronic manufacturing.

Molecules are omnipresent in our environment. They encode the physical complexity of our environment with tremendous combinaisons of bonds between different atoms of the periodic table, forming bodies from two to billions like in our chromosomes. Unlike temperature or pressure, molecules come with a large variety and their chemistry makes them ubiquitous and transient: they are hard to sense. Unlike electronics which handles only electrons, our senses exploits a vast library of neurotransmiters as molecular messengers to process and store information. Encoding data with different molecules in organic semiconductors should significantly increase the field of possibilities for information processing in next generation electronic materials.
